Legal Life Lesson: Learn to Love Learning (Learning Leads to Innovation)

Introduction: What Should You Take Away?

This is a continuation of a previous post entitled “Never, Ever Stop Learning” but the concept is still the same and it’s simple: NEVER, EVER stop learning. This concept bears repeating over and over again because as a business owner, it’s easy to think we are experts in our field and that we have reached the pinnacle of our success or learning abilities. But NOTHING could be further from the truth. Business is a continuous learning process. I guarantee that once you stay still…you will find your competition moving swiftly past you. Innovation comes from learning and learning leads to innovation.

My Story [based on my Firm or other business owners’ stories]

Someone once said that “to be successful, you must know everything there is to know about your business”. Now…that seems like a pretty lofty goal. I mean seriously—-who can know EVERYTHING about their business? But it’s a great aspiration to have because the more you know about not only your business but your industry, the better communicator, marketer and service/product provider you will be.

I have four (4) degrees and I continuously set aside time each week to learn something new about either business or law. It’s refreshing and it keeps me on the cutting edge of what’s going on in my field. As a matter of fact, one of KLP’s corporate values is “continuous education” and that is why we continue offer training classes for business organizations and groups. We have additionally started our 360 Plan series to assist individual business owners with continuous educational, business development and mentorship opportunities.

Example of how KLP lives up to its corporate value of “continuous education”:

I am excited to share with you KLP’s New “360 Plan” Initiative. We have designed AFFORDABLE and ACCESSIBLE monthly plans to educate, motivate and mentor YOU as a business owner or decision maker to create a full 360 degree entrepreneur.
